Savoring the music of the 60s & 70s and more
Nearly a half century ago, Mark a.k.a. “Sparks,” performed in the Poconos. After many decades of enjoying a career in education, he has returned to music.
Sharing with others the tunes of the artists who inspired him and his wife Joanie is fantastic fun!

We Sing Because It’s Fun
Once sung, twice told, from the heart twofold
The MJs
Voices Now — Voices Then
Music is a universal language that has the power to transcend cultural and linguistic barriers. It can evoke strong emotions and create deeply personal connections between individuals from all corners of the world. Whether it's the electrifying beat of a drum or the haunting melody of a tune, music has the ability to transport us to another time and place. It's no wonder that music has played such an important role in human culture for thousands of years. In short, music is more than just sound – it's an experience that can be shared and enjoyed by people of all backgrounds and walks of life.

Outings, outings, and more outings!
We have enjoyed the opportunity to be a part of your concerts. Thanks for doing what you do and doing it increasingly well
It was a nice gesture for you to have the concerts and provide others with entertainment and enjoyment.
We always enjoy your entertainment. Thank you for your wonderful music.
Dear Mark, I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed your concerts on the lawn. When we could not attend, we would open our windows to hear better. We almost set our curtains on fire with our lighters! All we can say is, “MORE!!!!”.
Mark and Joanie, although I couldn’t be at outside concerts as much as I would have liked, I would open my windows and enjoy the music. Thank you for giving us a little extra joy. Keep it up.
Dear Mark and Joanie I have just loved the music and the chance to safely socialize with friends. Many folks have loved your serenades beneath their windows. Others have commented that it is the major event of the weekend. Recent research has also indicated that music can stave off dementia or at least the severity of it!! So you are providing a public health service!
Hi Mark and Joanie, We enjoyed your music on "The Lawn" this past Spring season when we could make the show. A great way for people to meet and interact. Also, we are hoping it will continue next season for our listening pleasure. Thank you for sharing your talent, we wish we could sing as well. Thanks again for all your efforts.
Mark and Joanie, I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed your music. You should have played with the Kingston Trio! We loved relaxing by listening to the music. We hope you come back next season and play and sing again. Joanie, you two are great together. Love the hat you wore from Egypt! Thank you both very much.
Thanks so much for entertaining us. We really enjoyed your concerts and the pure enjoyment you gave us! You now have a ton of songs across many different artists for the audience to sing along to. This shows how much you enjoy playing and singing as well as how talented you are. We are looking forward to being a part of your next concert series and enjoying what you enjoy! Til next time!
Hi Mark and Joanie, Just a note to tell you how much we enjoy your concerts. Always look forward to great music and fun and the “sing-a-longs”!
My friends, husband, and myself have thoroughly enjoyed listening to your music. You have many fans. Do hope you will continue to play for all of us when you come back to Florida. The songs you both picked out were perfect. Like a breath of fresh air.
Thank You Very Much for the Great Strumming at 6 concert. That was some awesome music to end the season.
